I have been using Wolfram Mathematica on Fedora Linux for several months now and am very impressed with the stability:  along with Mathematica, I have multiple other applications running and 2 dozen internet tabs open and my system does not crash (only 12GB RAM and an AMD A9 processor); I may restart the system once every 3 or 4 weeks.  Although I was able to install Mathematica on Ubuntu Linux, I have had much more success with it on Fedora Linux.
